9.64

問曰：諸佛菩薩若同世間想自分別共所成立悟入覺慧所見同性名為世間極成真實者，一切世間若緣四大及與五塵，若緣瓶衣苦樂受等，皆悉執實，諸佛菩薩緣四大等，若同執實便成顛倒，則非真實，若世間執實，諸佛菩薩不執實者，所立既異，即非極成。

Question: If Buddhas and bodhisattvas share the same nature seen by the discernment of intuitive understanding established jointly through worldly conceptual thought and discrimination, and this is called the reality universally acknowledged by the world, then whenever ordinary worldly people cognize the four great elements and the five sense fields, or cognize pots, robes, and feelings of pleasure and pain, they grasp them all as real. If Buddhas and bodhisattvas, in cognizing the four great elements and so forth, likewise grasp them as real, they would be inverted and it would not be real. If the world grasps them as real while Buddhas and bodhisattvas do not, what they establish would be different, and thus not universally acknowledged.
