9.79

無性菩薩兩釋不同。一云，二乘但觀六識不觀賴耶，是故諸蘊不攝賴耶。一云，所言二乘不觀賴耶，就別相緣，若就共相無常等觀得緣賴耶，若依後釋通攝賴耶。

Bodhisattva Asvabhāva gives two different interpretations. One says: the two vehicles only contemplate the six consciousnesses and do not contemplate the ālayavijñāna; therefore, the aggregates do not subsume the ālaya. Another says: that the two vehicles do not contemplate the ālaya refers to objectifying it according to specific characteristics; if contemplating according to common characteristics such as impermanence, they can objectify the ālaya; according to this latter interpretation, it comprehensively subsumes the ālaya.
