Regarding the fourth reality, Jing says: The statement, "Because it can obstruct knowledge with respect to knowables, it is called the obstruction to knowables," explains the name of the obstruction to knowables. It means that ignorance regarding facts and grasping at phenomena, both active manifestations and seeds, possess power that can make the body and mind fail to attain tranquility and can obstruct knowledge from penetrating knowables; thus it is called the obstruction to knowables.
