Vasubandhu explains: "These three wisdoms are correlated in this sequence: once there is continuity in the untainted, the wisdom arisen from cultivation itself becomes [that of] hearing and thinking; in this thought-moment of hearing and thinking, it becomes untainted internally, and therefore constitutes the essential nature of the stage." The principle of the wisdom arisen from cultivation extends comprehensively, so it need not wait to be mentioned; since it takes the fruition attained as the essential nature of the stage, one should further examine that text in the commentary on the tenth bhūmi.
