Regarding anger, Jing says: All sentient beings of the desire realm arouse anger relying on ten matters. The first six and the tenth arouse anger toward sentient matters. The seventh, disagreeable objects, arouses anger toward non-sentient matters. The eighth and ninth matters arouse anger toward either sentient or non-sentient things, because one may arouse anger out of jealousy toward another's body, another's actions, or superior material requisites; habituation is likewise, as one arouses anger through past habituation toward the sentient or non-sentient.
