Jing says: Supposing the worldly roots of goodness one has attained to be the attainment of the noble path, one gives rise to the conceit of superiority. Ji says: That is, the text on conceit of superiority regarding true comprehension of the six contact bases; therefore there are nineteen. Since the text merely contains the seven spheres of unknowing and so on, consult the ninth fascicle of the Maulī Bhūmiḥ, which completely sets forth the mutual subsumption of the seven unknowings and nineteen unknowings, and so forth. Conceit arises relying on six matters, as already explained above under the section on supporting bases.
