初門中有十八，地者，如所詮總法，顯能詮總字，以義為教依。或約初標總名，與後所釋為所依，故名地。

In the first section, there are eighteen [phrases]. "Bhūmi" is like the comprehensive dharma that is expressed, displaying the comprehensive words that express it, taking the meaning as the basis for the teaching. Alternatively, considering the comprehensive title marked at the beginning, it serves as the basis for what is explained later, and hence it is called "bhūmi".
