論解自性假立尋思所引如實智中云「如實了知、如實通達了知色等想事中，所有自性假立非彼事自性，而以彼事自性顯說」者，謂見依他非實，遍計所執似所執，非實彼性顯現。八喻中言「焰水」者，謂陽炎似水也。

When explaining the knowledge as it truly is induced by the inquiry into nominal designation of intrinsic nature, the treatise says, "Knowing as it truly is, penetrating as it truly is, one knows that whatever nominal designation of intrinsic nature there is among entities conceived as form and so forth is not the intrinsic nature of that entity, yet it is explained through the intrinsic nature of that entity." This means seeing that paratantra is not real, and parikalpita appears similar to what is conceptualized, yet what is manifested is not truly that nature. In the eight similes, "water of a mirage" refers to a shimmering mirage resembling water.
