The treatise says: "[They] hold in high regard the receiving of the teachings and hold in high regard the future life." As for this one meaning, it says that the bodhisattva gives rise to deep faith in the four receipts of dharma. "Holding in high regard" means deep faith. The four receipts of dharma are explained in the text below in fascicle 4, meaning present suffering and pleasure, future pleasure and suffering, and so forth. And regarding retributions in future lives, the bodhisattva has deep faith; because of faith, it says "holding in high regard." Furthermore, because they deeply believe in the four receipts of dharma and believe in future lives, they see even minor offenses as deeply terrifying, how much more so many offenses; therefore, they do not commit transgressions. Within this morality, the four methods of gathering—affectionate speech, beneficial action, and common cause—are all present; trace through the text and match them. Below it also clarifies the ten courses of action; trace them according to the text. Above and below there are also the meanings of the three kinds of morality, namely the morality of the restraint of the prātimokṣa and so forth, which should be traced and gathered. In forbearance, there is only the forbearance that endures harm from adversaries.
