10.12

論云「其性好樂廣大財位，於彼一切廣大資財，心好受用，樂大事業，非陿少門」者，謂菩薩心廣大故，心好受用，非少財位；其性好樂廣大財位，以事業廣大，而非陿少故。又前已明施物雖少而能均布，惠施廣大而非陿少；今明性好樂大財位，施能均布，事業廣大，而非陿少，即與前文少物、多物好樂為異也。

The treatise says: "By nature they delight in vast wealth and status, and regarding all that vast material wealth, their mind delights in enjoying it, and they rejoice in great undertakings, not adopting an ungenerous, narrow approach." This means that because the bodhisattva's mind is vast, the mind delights in enjoying [wealth], and it is not a small degree of wealth and status; by nature they delight in vast wealth and status because their undertakings are vast and not narrow. Furthermore, it was explained earlier that although the materials given are few, they are able to distribute them evenly, bestowing gifts vastly and not narrowly; here it explains that by nature they delight in great wealth and status, can distribute their giving evenly, and their undertakings are vast and not narrow. Thus this differs from the earlier text concerning delighting in few items or many items.
