論云「四緣、四因、四力」者，緣疎因親，力為助伴，通明因二種，故有三別。

The treatise says: "Four conditions, four causes, and four powers." Conditions are indirect, causes are direct, and powers are assistants; both categories of causes are generally clarified, and therefore there are three distinctions.
