論云「是故二種於證正覺雖俱是勝，而於其中」等者，二種謂福智也，略簡異熟，非正證菩提因故。
The treatise says: "Therefore, although both kinds are supreme in realizing correct awakening, yet among them..." and so forth: the two kinds refer to merit and jñāna; this briefly excludes vipāka, because it is not a direct cause for realizing bodhi.
