論云「於此一切色等相事，何者為餘？謂即色等假說所依」者，重問前解實有中言餘義。謂即色等依他假說所依圓成，是依他之餘也。

The treatise says, "With respect to all these entities of characteristics such as form, what is the remainder? It refers to the locus of reliance for the nominal designation of form and so forth." This re-questions the meaning of the word "remainder" in the previous explanation of the real existent. It means that the pariniṣpanna upon which the paratantra nominal designations of form and so forth rely is the remainder of paratantra.
