11.38

論云「百四十不共佛法」，謂三十二相、八十種好、出苦道等四一切種清淨、十力、四無所畏、三念住、三不護，以上計取得一百三十六不共佛法；益大悲、無忘失法、永害習氣、一切種智四種，故成一百四十不共佛法也。如文自烈。

The treatise says: "One hundred and forty unshared Buddha-dharmas." This refers to the thirty-two marks, eighty secondary characteristics, the four purities of all kinds such as the path of transcending suffering, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the three smṛtyupasthānas, and the three kinds of unguardeds—calculating the above yields one hundred and thirty-six unshared Buddha-dharmas; adding the four kinds: great compassion, non-forgetfulness of dharmas, perpetual elimination of latencies, and all-aspect-prajñā (sarvākārajñatā), this constitutes the one hundred and forty unshared Buddha-dharmas, as the text itself lists.
