論解入地離惡趣時中云「於彼色類諸有情所，得哀愍意樂」者，此謂慈也。下是悲。

Where the treatise explains leaving behind the bad destinies upon entering the bhūmis, stating, "Toward sentient beings of those classes, one attains a disposition of sympathy": this refers to loving-kindness (maitrī). Below is compassion (karuṇā).
