12.188

論云「一切有情諸惡趣業，以淨意樂悉願自身代彼領受」者，淨意樂有二種：一、無漏，謂入地上；二、勝故名淨，即此地前者是。

The treatise states: "For all bad destiny karma of all sentient beings, with a pure disposition, one vows in all cases to experience it in one's own person on their behalf." There are two kinds of pure disposition: 1. uncontaminated, referring to being on the bhūmis and above; 2. named pure because of being superior, which is precisely before this bhūmi.
