13.57

論解二種退：一、斷退；二、住退。斷退者，由伏斷故退。住退者，失現法樂住退。如《對法》第十三。

The treatise explains two kinds of regression: first, regression through severance; second, regression through abiding. Regression through severance means regressing because of suppression and severance. Regression through abiding means regressing by losing the peaceful abiding in the present life. This is as in Fascicle Thirteen of the Abhidharma[-samuccaya-vyākhyā].
