The treatise explains that subtle nature is of three kinds: First, extremely subtle form; as in the Abhidharmasamuccaya, this is causing the extremely abbreviated and the extremely remote to serve as the gateway for the forms concomitant with this concentration. Because that [text] distinguishes them into two kinds based on the difference between being obstructed and being obstructing, it does not contradict this. Because form arising from conceptualization is conceptualized and cognized by the sixth mind, there should be all minds and mental factors, and all would have form arising from conceptualization. That here it only speaks of form is stated because form is distinct and graspable, unlike formless dharmas. If so, why is there sound arising from conceptualization among sounds? The Dharma Master asked this, and it is resolved as in the Commentary on the Abhidharmasamuccaya. Second, form of its kind: is it of the kind of coarse form? If it is present in an intermediate state in this place, this is of the kind with that not being in an intermediate state. The five marks of an atom: consult the third fascicle of the Maulī Bhūmi.
