Regarding the treatise's statement, 'Furthermore, as it is said: "By virtue of a single pure mind... up to: one should know that here, relying on a continuous mind subsumed under transition, through the worldly path, it is called giving rise to a single mind,"' this refers to the completion of cognizing an object; depending on the duration of however many moments, it is designated 'a single mind'—it does not mean that a mind of merely a single moment is designated 'a single mind': this is the meaning here. This is just as the third fascicle of the Maulī Bhūmi states: 'giving rise to a single mind, or to multiple minds,' etc.
