When the treatise discusses the fifteen kinds of antidotes to wholesome dharmas, the "antidote to the entanglements of desired destinations" refers to all that belongs to the category of greed; "undesired destinations" refers to all that belongs to the category of hostility. Furthermore, as the text below states, the first refers to desirable human and divine [rebirths], while the undesired refers to the active occurrences of the two types of afflictions in the three miserable destinies. Latent tendencies are the seeds of both kinds. "Distraction" is countered by a concentrated mind. "Admonition and instruction" is that which counters, because admonishing causes one not to commit evil; causing evil to become feeble is called a weak antidote. "Suppression" and the like: the above four are called reducing active occurrence.
