論云「已證入清淨意樂地菩薩，一切不善業皆畢竟斷。此不妄念力，離繫無煩惱」者，即菩薩煩惱有故，應令發業，但不忘念故，無業修道，不善業種修道未斷，不忘念故不起，名永斷，非種無別，金剛心時一切永斷故。

Regarding the treatise's statement, "Bodhisattvas who have realized and entered the stage of pure intention have severed all unwholesome karma forever; due to the power of unforgetting mindfulness, they are free from bondage and without afflictions": because bodhisattvas possess afflictions, these should cause them to initiate karma, but solely due to unforgetting mindfulness, they have no karma in the path of cultivation. The unwholesome karma seeds have not yet been severed in the path of cultivation, but because of unforgetting mindfulness they do not arise; this is called 'permanent severance,' not that the seeds are absent; at the diamond-like mind, all are permanently severed.
