引因依處、生因依處皆過去生、老死得分位說，故名觸生等。其引因體勘文及生因，同第十卷〈本地〉、《對法》等文。

The support-state for the projecting cause and the support-state for the producing cause are both spoken of according to the states of past birth, and aging and death; therefore they are named 'contact-born' and so forth. Collating the text regarding the essential nature of the projecting cause and the producing cause, it is identical with the text of Fascicle 10 of the Maulī Bhūmi, the Abhidharma[-samuccaya], and so on.
