The text on noble and non-noble wealth is divided into three parts: first, posing the question; next, eleven occurrences of the word 'moreover' distinguish fifteen kinds of distinct characteristics, the first ten having one each, and the eleventh having five. The first ten distinctions are: 1. giving rise to wholesome or unwholesome actions; 2. generating fault or faultlessness—'fault' meaning future bad fruit; 3. pervading or not pervading the body; 4. length of time—external conditions referring to material goods, internal conditions referring to the noble path and the true Dharma; 5. breadth or narrowness of scope; 6. length of leading on; 7. exhaustible or inexhaustible; 8. robbable or unrobbable—'robbable' meaning encroachment and loss caused by the five families; 9. sustaining or not sustaining; 10. sufficient or insufficient—'sufficient' meaning the fulfillment of the path of the non-learners of the three vehicles. The eleventh has five: 1. having fear; 2. having enmity; 3. having disasters; 4. having burning torment; 5. inability to sever the great suffering of future lives.
