In the establishment, there are three [parts]: first, establishing the causes, conditions, and fruits upon grounds; second, explaining the meaning of causes, conditions, and fruits; and third, there are three further statements that re-elucidate the causes of establishment. Within the first, there are three [subdivisions]. Regarding "names of grounds": from the causal ground of speech being the ground, up to non-hindrance being the ground, all are appositional compounds (karmadhāraya). Since causes are established based on grounds, from conventional expression being the cause up to non-contradiction being the cause, all are also appositional compounds. Or perhaps some are not so, as explained in the separate chapter.
