「由極熏修」者，唯無漏修，諸有漏第六識已不現行故。即凡夫位所造廣果天處業，將入第八地，生廣果天；無漏極熏資彼先時後報之業，至第十地滿心，方生於彼。《華嚴經》云：現報利益，受佛位故；後報利益，摩醯首羅智處生故。廣如《唯識》第七卷疏，并《十地論》第十二卷。

Regarding "due to utmost perfumed cultivation": this is purely outflow-free cultivation, because the various sixth consciousnesses with outflows no longer actively arise. That is, having created the karma for the Great Fruit Heaven at the stage of an ordinary person, when about to enter the eighth bhūmi, one is born into the Great Fruit Heaven; through the utmost perfuming of the outflow-free, it assists that earlier karma of later ripening, so that upon reaching the culmination of the tenth bhūmi, one is only then born there. The Avataṃsaka-sūtra says: as a benefit in the present retribution, one receives the station of a Buddha; as a benefit in the subsequent retribution, one is born in the station of the wisdom of Maheśvara. This is fully explained in the commentary on the seventh fascicle of the Vijñaptimātratā[siddhi] and the twelfth fascicle of the Daśabhūmika-[sūtra-]śāstra.
