破中分三：初破數論執、次申正義、後例破聲論。初中分二：初別難、後結成。別難中分三：一、有障無障；二、有性果性；三、為異不異。

The refutation is divided into three: first, refuting the Sāṃkhya assertion; next, presenting the correct meaning; and finally, by analogy, refuting the sound theorists. The first has two parts: first, specific challenges; and second, the conclusion. The specific challenges have three parts: 1. having obstruction or lacking obstruction; 2. possessing nature or possessing effect-nature; and 3. being different or not different.
