破執有二：初破、後結。破中，初破三十二見、後破極微。初中復四。第二破中，「若取我者，憶念過去如是名等諸有情類」等者，謂得宿住隨念有情，憶念我昔如是名姓，名姓既非我體，如何言念取我而生？

The refutation of these views has two parts: first, the refutation; second, the conclusion. In the refutation, first it refutes the thirty-two views, and then it refutes the atoms. In the first part, there are again four sections. In the second refutation, regarding "If one grasps a self, recollecting sentient beings of the past with such names and so forth": this means sentient beings who obtain recollection of past abodes remember "In the past I had such a name and clan." Since name and clan are not the substance of the self, how can one say that recollection arises from grasping the self?
