第二、別明所緣差別中分二：初、以緣即相；第二、別明相。以此所緣是諸作意境，所以即相，俱定等境故。

Second, distinguishing the differences in objects comprises two parts: first, taking the object as identical to the characteristic; second, distinguishing the characteristics individually. Because these objects are the spheres of the various manaskāras, they are therefore identical to characteristics, both being the spheres of absorption and so forth.
