Regarding 'Furthermore, because of three conditions and seven kinds of practices,' and so forth: entering, abiding, and sustaining are called the three conditions. Right view and right intention are called the conditions for initial entry; right speech, right action, and right livelihood are called the conditions for abiding; right effort and right mindfulness are called the conditions for sustaining. Due to these three conditions and seven path-factors, one causes the mind to become internally concentrated and the mind to be correctly focused on a single object.
