The text on direct perception (pratyakṣa) has three parts: first, the topic; second, the explanation; third, distinguishing by questions and answers. "Already arisen, already arisen equally, arising, or occurring": in the past, a fruition of maturation or an empowering fruit is called "already arisen"; an outflow fruit is called "already arisen equally," because "equal" has the meaning of similarity. What abides in the present arising is called "arising"; what abides in future arising is called "occurring."
