異所成者,即真因喻無諸過失,體能成故,異於所成。其相違者,即似因似喻,及似現比,不能為量。不相違,即真因等,及真現比,能為量故。至教量體,聞思慧等,緣至教智。
"Different from what is to be established" means that genuine reasons and examples are free from all faults; their substance being capable of establishing, they are different from what is to be established. That which is contradictory refers to semblance reasons, semblance examples, and semblance direct perception and inference, which cannot serve as valid cognitions. Non-contradictory refers to genuine reasons and the like, as well as genuine direct perception and inference, because they can serve as valid cognitions. The substance of the valid cognition of supreme teaching (āptāgama) consists of the wisdom arisen from hearing, reflection, etc., which is the cognition taking the supreme teaching as its object.
