「八種所作」：一、「滅依止」者，能與滅惡為依止。　「轉」，謂與善生為依止。　「遍知」，謂知善巧，遍知苦、集緣生等法，生厭離故。　「喜樂」者，謂喜樂滅、道。

The "eight kinds of tasks": / First, "support for cessation" means being able to serve as a support for the cessation of evil. / "Operation" means serving as a support for the arising of good. / "Thorough knowledge" means knowledge of skillful means, thoroughly knowing dharmas such as suffering, origin, and conditioned arising, so as to generate revulsion. / "Joyful delight" refers to joyful delight in cessation and the path.
