「遠離劣惡作」者，非太沈。「離非處惡作」者，非太浮。「遠離失念故」，住正念。　「究竟時」，謂根本。　「方便時」，謂眷屬。

'Far removed from inferior misdeeds' means not too sunken. 'Removed from misdeeds in improper places' means not too flighty. 'Due to being far removed from loss of mindfulness', one abides in correct mindfulness. 'At the time of culmination' refers to the fundamental. 'At the time of expedients' refers to the attendants.
