In the explanation of the fifteenth section, one verse, there are three parts: first, explaining the first line. "All kinds" refers to the ten paths of unwholesome karma. "All causes and conditions" refers to the three unwholesome roots being able to initiate and consummate the paths of karma. "All loci" refers to sentient and insentient, material requisites, and other objects. Second, from "He, by means of three characteristics" downward, explaining the second line. Relying on morality to give rise to concentration, relying on concentration to give rise to wisdom, and relying on wisdom to realize the object are called the three characteristics. Because the essence of morality is wholesome, it is called practicing; because it can properly abandon evil, it is called doing no evil; hence it applies to both places. Third, from "Thus endowed" downward, explaining the third line. It does not explain the fourth concluding line.
