8.139

論解四念住身中云「三十五種身，名身色」者，此中約色身、名身通舉。「祖父國身」者，即鬼身也。以祖父來，皆望男女之所祭祀，皆有此願，乃至上祖，故言祖父國。廣釋如《智度論》。

Where the treatise explains the body in the smṛtyupasthāna of the body, saying, "Thirty-five kinds of bodies are called body-form," this generally brings forth both the form body and the name body. "The body of the realm of the ancestors" refers to the ghost body. Since the ancestors all expect sacrifices from their sons and daughters and all have this wish, reaching even to higher ancestors, it is called the realm of the ancestors.
