論解種姓中云「有種子法，由現有故」者，種子法，即涅槃證之種子。　由現有故，簡當有義，現簡於當，有簡於無。　若爾，勝軍當有，此如何通？解曰：由現有煩惱等障可斷故，亦名現有。此三家義，任應敘之。

Where the treatise explains gotra, saying, "There are seed dharmas that exist currently": "Seed dharmas" are the seeds for realizing nirvāṇa. "Because they exist currently" excludes the sense of future existence; "currently" excludes "future," and "exist" excludes "nonexistence." If so, how can this be reconciled with Jayasena's [view of] future existence? The explanation says: because currently existing defilements and other hindrances can be severed, they are also called "currently existing." The doctrines of the three masters may be recounted as appropriate.
