8.73

論曰「是諸菩薩所現行事，非此義中意所許施」等者，此中意，明菩薩用前有情數物施時，必須所用施之情歡，喜方用之施；非是彼生嫌恨，菩薩欲得自意所許，即用之施。長讀下文。

Regarding the treatise's statement, "These are practices manifested by bodhisattvas, but in this context they are not gifts approved by intention," and so forth: the meaning here is to clarify that when a bodhisattva gives things belonging to sentient beings mentioned earlier, the sentiment of the one being given to must necessarily be joyful and pleased before giving them; it is not that when the other gives rise to resentment, the bodhisattva still uses them to give merely to satisfy their own intention.
