第二行頌中云「觀察於諸諦」者，謂初二作意；「如實而通達」者，遠離作意，以能斷惑故；「廣分別於修」者，餘是作意；「究竟為其後」者，是第七果作意。前三十一、二等中明第四、障淨，今解第五、修作意，即第三十中之大文也。

In the second line of verse, “observing the truths” refers to the first two manaskāras; “penetrating in accordance with reality” is the manaskāra of detachment, because it can eliminate afflictions; “extensively distinguishing cultivation” refers to the remaining manaskāras; “having culmination as the last” is the seventh, the resultant manaskāra. Previously, in [fascicles] thirty-one, thirty-two, and so forth, the fourth, purification of obstacles, was clarified; now the fifth, cultivating manaskāra, is explained, which is the major section in the thirtieth [fascicle].
