In explaining the contemplation of impermanence through the aspect of true nature (dharmatā), the treatise says: "Namely, all the impermanence of alteration..." and so forth. The meaning here is: for instance, when present pleasant feeling is currently being experienced as pleasure, it has not yet undergone the impermanence of alteration; through the three aspects of impermanence mentioned before, such as alteration, one contemplates that although the present pleasant feeling is not yet impermanent at the present time, its true nature will certainly undergo these three kinds of impermanence in the future; thus one thoroughly penetrates that such pleasant feeling is definitely impermanent in the future. Although it is not yet impermanent in the present life, its true nature is impermanent in the future.
