論解內別離行中云「先為他主，非奴非使，能自受用等，乃至彼於後時退失主性，非奴使性，轉得他奴及所使性」等者，此意如一人先為主時，非奴非使，後時轉失主性，非奴使性，轉得其他奴性及所使性自在為之，如改官等人是。

In explaining the internal aspect of separation, the treatise says: "Previously being the master of others, not a slave and not a servant, able to enjoy by oneself, and so forth... up to... he at a later time degenerates from the nature of a master, the nature of not being a slave or servant, and turns into obtaining the nature of another's slave and servant," and so forth. The meaning here is: for instance, when a person is previously a master, he is not a slave and not a servant; at a later time he turns around and loses the nature of a master and the nature of not being a slave or servant, and turns into being another's slave and being at their beck and call; this is like a person changing official status.
