The intrinsic nature of the seven noble treasures, as appropriate, encompasses both defiled and undefiled states. Or, learning is mostly defiled. Renunciation is generous giving with wisdom, or it encompasses the mental factor of equanimity/giving. Because these seven are superior, they are specifically established as noble wealth. The non-noble mostly give rise to the seven opposing factors. Because in the distinctions below, the pleasures of the three realms and unconditioned pleasure are taken as noble wealth. From this we may deduce that the vipāka of the three realms induced by all wholesome deeds, when not conforming to transcendence of the world, is called non-noble wealth; whereas the wholesome deeds conforming to transcendence of the world, all things in the three realms, and unconditioned dharmas, are all called noble wealth.
