第三句云：「我今釋彼說」者，正顯釋論令法久住，自利，由有智德生大智也。第四句云：「利樂諸有情」者，述意所為濟諸含識，利他，由有恩德生大悲也。又有別解，如《樞要》說。

When the third line says, "I now comment upon his teaching," it specifically indicates that commenting on the treatise causes the Dharma to endure for a long time, constitutes benefit for oneself, and gives rise to great wisdom through the possession of the virtue of wisdom. When the fourth line says, "To benefit and gladden sentient beings," it states the intention of delivering all living beings, constituting benefit for others, and giving rise to great compassion through the possession of the virtue of beneficence. There are also other explanations, as expounded in the Cheng weishi lun shuyao.
