自下第三諸門辨釋。於中有五。一十句相望一多分別。大同．和合二唯一物。德．業．及異．有能．無能．俱分．無說七唯多物。實句一種亦一亦多。空．時．方．我．意五是一物。地．水．火．風四是多物。

Below, thirdly, is the analysis and explanation by various categories. In this there are five topics. First, the distinction of singular versus plural among the ten categories: Great generality and inherence are exclusively single entities. Qualities, actions, particularity, capacity, incapacity, commonality-particularity, and non-existence—these seven are exclusively plural entities. The single category of substance is both single and plural: the five of empty space, time, direction, self, and mind (manas) are single entities; the four of earth, water, fire, and wind are plural entities.
