若生名變，種子第八識生七識等，並名為變，七識生第八，亦名為變，緣無漏生種准此應知。

If it is named transformation in the sense of generation, then seeds and the eighth consciousness generating the seven consciousnesses and so forth are all called transformation, and the seven consciousnesses generating the eighth is also called transformation; the generation of seeds by cognizing the uncontaminated should be understood by analogy.
