述曰：下文有二：初破前說；後申正義。初中有三：一、總非；二、別非；三、結非。理教相違，是總非也。別非有三：一、非五；二、非六；三、非七。初中又二：初非；後會。若教若理二皆違故，即安惠等諸師所說。雖實無色似色等現，就此為難，下皆准知。初非五中有二：初申十難；後總結非。

[The Commentary states:] The text below has two parts: first, refuting the previous assertion; second, presenting the correct doctrine. The first has three parts: first, general refutation; second, specific refutation; third, concluding refutation. 'Contradicting reason and teaching' is the general refutation. The specific refutation has three parts: first, refuting [the view of] the five; second, refuting [the view of] the sixth; third, refuting [the view of] the seventh. The first part also has two: first, refutation; second, reconciliation. Because it contradicts both teaching and reason, this represents the explanation of Sthiramati and other masters. Although there is no real matter, it appears as the semblance of matter, etc.; the objection is made based on this, and the rest below should be understood accordingly. In the first part, refuting [the view of] the five, there are two sections: first, presenting ten objections; second, summarizing the refutation.
