The Commentary states: The arising of all afflictions must be due to unserviceability, which is torpor. Turbid agitation is restlessness; the remaining three can be understood. For there are none that give rise to afflictions without having the nature of unserviceability and without turbid agitation. Question: As with the obstruction to meditative absorption and supernormal powers, stiffness and unserviceability pervade dharmas of the three natures; could wholesome states contain the nature of torpor?
