正理論師說有十二，更加欣、厭。《婆沙》雖說別有厭等，法救等不說，故此中非之。但言唯善十一，不言遍善，故遮彼也。正量部說十三唯善，此十一外更加欣、厭，故此定言遮增減執。又遮薩婆多等輕安遍善，今言唯善非必遍善。下雖更說有多善法，其勝用者唯十一故。

The masters of the Nyāyānusāra state that there are twelve, further adding delight and revulsion. Although the Mahāvibhāṣā speaks of revulsion and so on separately, Dharmatrāta and others do not mention them, and thus they are rejected here. Saying only that there are eleven 'solely wholesome' factors, rather than 'universally wholesome', precludes their view. The Saṃmatīya school posits thirteen solely wholesome factors, adding delight and revulsion beyond these eleven; therefore the word 'definitely' here precludes both views of subtraction and addition. Furthermore, it precludes the Sarvāstivāda view that pliancy is universally wholesome; here we say 'solely wholesome', not necessarily 'universally wholesome'. Although more wholesome dharmas are mentioned below, those with superior function are only eleven.
