自下欲顯忍、樂、欲三，是信因果；及欲顯彼心淨之言，是信自相。寄問徵起，於中有四：一、問；二、答；三、難；四、通。

From here on, [the text] intends to reveal that the three—endurance, joy, and aspiration—are the cause and effect of faith, and intends to reveal that the statement "purification of the mind" constitutes the intrinsic characteristic of faith. It raises an inquiry by framing a question. Therein are four parts: first, question; second, answer; third, objection; fourth, resolution.
