1.36

Although Vasubandhu was a bodhisattva prior to the grounds (bhūmi), he possessed decisive faith and understanding regarding the nature of vijñapti-mātra; though he had not yet realized reality, he also cultivated and studied in accordance with it and partially attained it; hence he is called “one who is partially pure.”
