[The Commentary states:] Below is the distinct explanation. This refers to the two truths of suffering and origin, all defiled factors: that to which one goes is the truth of suffering, and that which can go is the truth of origin, namely rebirth, karma, and defilement. This is an explanation by distinct marks; yet rebirth, karma, and defilement all apply to both suffering and origin. Furthermore, in the Mahāyāna there is suffering that is not origin, namely rebirth as various indeterminate vipāka factors and so forth, which is solely the truth of suffering. Although in explaining the distinctions of defilement it speaks only of the realms, it also applies to that which can go to the realms, hence it takes the truth of origin. Which are the pure factors?
